Beverly Hills, California

Oh, 90210, how we love you!

Of all the many things to see and do in Los Angeles County, nothing speaks of class and sophistication like the City of Beverly Hills. Nestled between colorful West Hollywood and the beach cities, Beverly Hills is the place to be if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle into the glamour of high-end retail! From Chanel to Vera Wang, to Gucci, to Dior, not to mention Cartier and Tiffany’s—here you can shop ‘till you drop!

A leisurely walk down Rodeo Drive will offer you the best in designer boutiques and art galleries. Refresh and energize yourself on occasion by taking breaks at the many cafes and fine restaurants that line the streets, such as Wolfgang Puck’s Spago, which features lovely and locally sourced California fare. If you are up for a steak, The Palm or Mastro’s are fantastic. If you want to see stars, The Grill on the Alley is the place to eat. (The last time we were there, Alan Alda walked in.)

If you are interested in taking in some sights in nearby touristy LA, a stroll down the Hollywood Walk of Fame is just the thing to do. Here you can spot the names of so many stars who left their mark in our entertainment history.

Want to escape to nature? Then in a short drive, you can relax on one of the 75 miles of beaches that stretch down the LA coastline; our personal favorite is Santa Monica or Malibu, where watching the surfers hit the waves are a sightseeing experience in itself.

Another short drive in the other direction and up the hill is the famed Griffith Park Observatory. Here you can enjoy spectacular 360 views of Los Angeles, including seeing the Hollywood sign. It also boasts a top-rated planetarium. Or you can simply enjoy nature with the many hikes (from easy to advanced) right outside the door.

If you are an art lover, then a visit to the Broad Museum in downtown Los Angeles, where you can see some of the best in contemporary art as well as enjoy lunch at Little Tokyo!

While there is no shortage of high-end lodgings, our favorite by far is the Montage Beverly Hills. Just steps away from Rodeo Drive and in the Golden Triangle, Montage is pure classic Hollywood.

Peruse the art-filled walls of hundreds of original art that reflect Beverly Hills at the height of vintage Los Angeles, (1920-1950) or feel like a movie star as you luxuriate in the two-level spa, enjoy a fabulous meal at any of the 2 signature restaurants. Without a doubt, sip an invigorating cocktail while you lounge at the rooftop pool for a day. This is the perfect LA spot to catch a breathtaking sunset from your private cabana.

Other 5-star recommendations include:

The Peninsula Beverly Hills

Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel

The Beverly Hills Hotel

Whether you are here for a week or just overnight, your stay and excursion in and around Beverly Hills will leave an indelible mark on you (and your closet)!

Where will you go next?
