We took friends on a whirlwind trip that included Catania, an ancient port city on Sicily’s east coast; Kotor, Montenegro; Ljubliana, Slovenia; and Valetta, Malta. The sights, sounds, and tastes made us swoon. Art, architecture, cuisine, and cultural flavor of these historic ports inspired us.
