Cutting “EDGE” Above the Rest in Ocean Cruising
If you are like me ... someone who is passionate about cruising the high seas and also appreciates the very best in modern luxury, you'll be in awe once you see what Celebrity Cruises has in store for the future of cruise travel.

Appropriately they have unveiled what will be a travel phenomenon using cutting edge 3D to preview and experience what spaces onboard will look and feel like through virtual reality technology.
Before going into a little more detail, if you're not familiar with Celebrity Cruises, I'll fill you in on some recent history. To many who have been lucky enough to experience Celebrity first hand, it would appear the Celebrity brand has already successfully reinvented what a cruise experience should be for the discerning Boomer, Gen X and Millennial traveler in the 21st century. Their most recent Solstice Class ships have been a testament to this, and at least to me personally, it's been clear ever since namesake Celebrity Solstice herself debuted on her maiden voyage almost a decade ago in 2008.
Dating further back to Solstice pre-sailing in 2006 and long before recent technology used to unveil EDGE was available, Celebrity was still committed to sharing its forthcoming innovations with loyal guests by sharing online construction updates and even unveiling soon-to-come NEW venues for Solstice by introducing them on previous fleet old timer Celebrity Century during a revitalization the year prior to Solstice completion. This all so everyone could get a taste of what was to come and speaks volumes as to the guest loyalty communication culture of this pristige travel brand.
Since then, I have travelled on most of the Celebrity Solstice class ships multiple times and have appreciated every aspect of the sophisticated luxurious cruise experience it offers. You will be impressed every time you get on board whether it's your 1st or 20th time cruising on any of the Celebrity Solstice class vessels. From the tranquil multi-faceted/ multi-venue experience of the "Rooftop Lawn Club" to "Canyon Ranch Spa at Sea" to dining in the incredible suite class restaurant, a true culinary masterpiece, "Luminae".
There are so many ship features and venues to name, but I promise they will draw you back time and time again. And you will always be in luxurious comfort whether you choose to stay in their well appointed penthouse suites OR in our personal "go to", the economical yet exclusive aqua class verandah rooms.
We frequently choose the aqua class category when traveling because we get exclusive access to the spa including unlimited use of the "Persian Garden" that offers multiple steam, sauna, rain showers and hot tile beds. Plus aqua class also has its own dedicated spa cuisine restaurant "Blu" which is excellent and can be a healthier choice to make sure you're not overindulging and effecting your waistline on those longer voyages.
So If you haven't already experienced Solstice, you should get a little taste of the sophisticated Celebrity Cruise experience and see for yourself. Get on a Solstice class ship for a vacation this summer or fall before the revolution in ocean travel arrives with Celebrity EDGE in 2018.
For me personally, the anticipation of Celebrity Edge is palpable and I simply can't wait! It seems Celebrity has taken the evolution of what they have already done for ocean travel on Solstice Class and revolutionized the experience yet again with what looks to be truly exceptional. The new venues and staterooms look to have leaped beyond both expectation and imagination taking things to a whole new level.
In the year ahead I look forward to opportunities to get a further peak inside everything EDGE will have to offer. No doubt like expectations were shattered with Solstice, the same will hold true with EDGE and more. Like many of you, I look forward to many travel experiences on this new way to explore the world by water.
