An alternative to the Bazaar is the sophisticated and secluded sanctuary named Tres and is peppered with cozy nooks, books and fireplaces; José Andrés serves up comfort food here with a twist. If you are staying for more than one day, I suggest trying it.

If you're looking for a shopping diversion, The Beverly Center is a high-end mall with luxury designer shops, but you are so close to Rodeo Drive, I recommend the short ride over there. Melrose Ave is also close by, full of inspiration for the interior designer in all of us. Drop by Urth Caffé for a coffee to start your day and take in lunch at either Lucques or Taste on Melrose. If you're looking for 5 Star sushi near SLS, Koi Los Angeles is the perfect foil. The Zen-inspired decor is uplifting and the Japanese cuisine is truly inspired. Try the Koi Fusion cocktail--it is dangerously delicious.
