Zip-Lining in Costa Rica

Zip Down to Costa Rica!

Costa Rica is amazing, and perfect for adventure (and for the post-adventure spa experience). You can go horseback riding, ziplining, SCUBA diving, whitewater rafting, kayaking, surfing, climbing, biking, tubing, and paddleboarding, just to name a few of the daredevilish experiences to be had. THE thing to do in CR is ziplining and we have a spot you can do it.

Where to zip:  Sky Trek in Arenal

This elaborate canopy tour begins with an open-air gondola ride to the tippy top of the trees, where an observation deck gives you a full view of the Arenal Volcano and surrounding lands. From there, you fly down 10 cables, the best of which is a half a mile long. Soaring over the trees, you’ll have volcano and lake views, and even on rainy days, it’s fun to burst through the fog at top speeds.

For safety:

  • Wear long pants or shorts, comfortable shoes, and use sunblock as well as insect repellent.

  • You must be at least six years old to zip line, with a minimum weight of 50 lbs. There is no age limit for adults except for 300 lbs. If you are a professional basketball player or 7 feet tall, you might hit their height limit.

  • Every zip liner is required to sign a release form. No surprise to adventurous spirits.
